The native flora of Nantucket is wonderfully diverse and incredibly beautiful. The plants that have evolved to grow on the island are uniquely suited to thrive in our unique ecosystem. As Nantucket faces the challenges presented by rapid growth we may preserve its natural beauty by limiting disturbances in natural areas and using native plants in landscape projects.
